Prince Harry's Headed to America

This coming May, Prince Harry will be doing a tour of the United States on behalf of his grandmother and the UK government.

Prince Harry in the US, May 2012
Harry will be making quite a few stops during his roughly one week long trip, including doing some work for his charity, Stenebale. His tour will begin on May 9 and end on May 15.

The itinerary for Prince Harry's trip, as provided by The Prince of Wales's office, is as follows:

  • Washington, DC: an exhibition on Capitol Hill on landmine clearance and the British Ambassador’s Reception. Also, Arlington National Cemetery and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
  • Denver: The Consul-General’s Reception
  • Colorado Springs: several events at the 2013 Warrior Games
  • New York City: an event to promote the GREAT campaign, a community baseball programme involving a new partnership with the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, a Royal Foundation fundraising event
  • New Jersey: an area badly affected by Hurricane Sandy
  • Connecticut: the Sentebale Polo Cup in Greenwich
Harry's Sentebale polo tournament will take place at the Greenwich Polo Club. I'll be following the information of the tournament closely, as Greenwich is nearby and I intend to try to get tickets to the event!

You may recall that Prince Harry was in the US last year to accept a humanitarian award for his work with wounded war veterans. And of course, the images of his most recent trip to Las Vegas {Note: Click at own risk, photos are a bit NSFW!} are forever burned into everyone's memory.
